This fundraising concept is designed to mimic that theory. We produce ebooks. Classic ebooks to be exact, all in PDF format. We use ebooks in our fundraising efforts, because there is zero dollar expense involved. This allows the theory to run with purity. We use Paypal, as it is the easiest way for most people to pay (ask anyone who buys or sells on eBay!). They would not let us charge less than one dollar for our products, and charge approximately 35 cents per transaction. We take a penny per transaction for our services, and your organization keeps the rest -- 64 cents per transaction.
We do all the work processing the orders. All your organization volunteers need to do is promote your fundraiser to your organization members and contributors and be explicit in your instructions that they purchase one ebook for one dollar and two referrals. It is the two referrals that make the compounding work.
Each fundraiser lasts 30 days exactly, starting with the first transaction. Each ebook is delivered to the contributor automatically upon purchase via digital delivery. As long as two referrals are given (hopefully within the same 24 hours), the fundraiser stands a chance of success.
The main objection we are given is, do we believe each fundraiser will raise more than five million dollars? We know human nature. We know skepticism, procrastination, good intentions. We know all of these things stand in the way of seeing a pure compounding theory result from beginning to end.
But, we also know that even partial success with this venture will result in a great deal of difference for your organization. Even if only $6,000 is raised by your efforts over the next 30 days, wouldn't that impact your activities tremendously?
And considering we do all the processing, and all your contributors need to worry about is one dollar and two referrals a purchase, what has your organization got to lose? There will be no links to or from any other pages or sites, so your organization volunteers can focus on your fundraiser without any interference from Pick Your Plots or anyone else. You will be sent an email when your page is ready, for you to look over. Notify us immediately of any corrections that need to be made before you start your fundraiser. If you want to add your organization logo, just email us the jpg or gif file and we will include it on your page.
You can elect to receive your funds either daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or at the end of the 30 days. Just let us know. A complete accounting report at the end will be emailed to you for your records.
