What are Personalized Children's books?
Pick Your Plots (PYP) offers families a fun way to enjoy reading by encouraging children to read stories where they are the heroes of each tale. The stories are personalized to each child, ages 8 to 12, making them the main character of each story. Friends and family can also become part of each adventure, making these stories unique and personal and providing children and their families with an excellent method to develop family literacy during an important growth phase for children. These stories come in .pdf format, making delivery quick so the story can be enjoyed almost right away. Most times, the stories can be delivered via email within 24 hours of payment being received.
When will I receive my order?
As stated above, most orders will be delivered within 24 hours. This allows us time to process the order form and create the story you ordered. This is, however, not a guarantee, and if we anticipate taking any longer than the 24 hours to get your order to your email inbox, we will notify you at the same email address of the delay. Our stories are produced by hand, and high volume periods, especially around holidays, may cause delays.

Our books are currently available in English only, although Spanish versions are currently underway and should be available soon. However, we can receive orders from anywhere in the world that English is available, and that Paypal can service.
What are your shipping charges?
We have none, because all of our stories are via electronic download or e-mail. However, physical products are being considered, so check back from time to time to see if this option becomes available, at which time this question can be answered more properly.
What is your return policy?
Because of its electronic nature, we cannot offer a return on the product. We do, therefore, offer a free sample of the first three chapters of each story, for you to try to see if you will like the complete story. Once ordered and delivered, no refund is possible. See below for exceptions.
What if there is an error in my personalized book?
PYP will pay very close and special attention while carefully creating your personalized book. However, if PYP is at fault for any errors, your purchase will be replaced and resent, or you may just receive a refund. If any errors need correcting, or to request a refund due to errors, please send back a copy of the .pdf file, indicating in writing what page and location the error is to be found, and whether you request a resend or a refund. Send to dennis@pickyourplots.com. You will receive a reply within 24 hours.
What if I realize that I have submitted incorrect information for my personalized book?
If you discover that you have submitted incorrect information to personalize your book, contact PYP at dennis@pickyourplots.com. If your book has already been completed and sent, you may purchase a replacement personalized book and you will receive an invoice for payment via email. The invoice is due upon receipt. Your order will be cancelled if the invoice is not paid within 7 days of receiving the invoice. No refunds are provided for replacement stories.

Can I see how a book will look personalized?
Yes. You can choose to order a sample, three-chapter version for free, to see how the story will look with your sample names that you provide. If you enjoy the first three chapters, simply return to the site to order the full version, adding additional names if necessary.
Can I read the story for the personalized books?
PYP provides a sample of the first three chapters of each story for your review. If you do not provide any names, but simply want to read how the story starts, then names will be provided for your sample. If you then want the full version, you can provide names at that point.
What is the contact information for questions or problems with making my purchase on the website?
How do I apply any discounts, gift certificates, or promotion codes to my order?
When completing your order form, provide the numeric and/or alphabetic information in the promo code box for promotions.
Is your site safe to make purchases and to provide personal information?
Yes. PYP utilizes PayPal, an eBay company, which is a secure and trusted online service that enables businesses and individuals to send and receive payments online securely and promptly. PayPal's serrvice utilizes the most advanced proprietary fraud prevention systems creating a safe, global, and real-time payment solution.
Your e-mail address is required in order to contact you promptly if needed when processing your order, and to send you your finished product upon completion. Your information is private and secure. PYP will not sell, trade or distribute your personal information.
What if I have problems paying via PayPal?
If you are having problems payinhg for your order via PayPal, contact PYP at dennis@pickyourplots.com and we will send you an invoice for your order via e-mail. The invoice is due upon receipt. Your order will be canceled if the invoice is not paid within 7 days of receiving the invoice. Your order will be processed and sent upon within 24 hours upon payment of your invoice.
